Here is a reported federal budget breakdown for 2011
The Internet View is a project that I have created with the purpose of discussing recent political issues and events rather than merely listening to a cable news station.

Federal Budget
Not that this is the first time in history that a president has released the full budget for a fiscal year, but it is very easily accessible this time. If you are interested in viewing the budget you can go here: http://www.whitehouse.gov/omb/budget/Overview. Its about a 4 MB file so it doesn't take very long to download. Thats all I have for today. If you find anything interesting about the budget feel free to let me know.

Look how much is being spent on blowing shit up =/
ReplyDeleteits interesting to see this as a pie chart, because normally it is spoken about in numbers too big to actually appreciate
ReplyDeleteits nice to see all this info collected in one place neatly. most people just throw random numbers around, thanks for providing a pie chart.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this. The info in that link shows us how the money is actually being spent. it's quite a shame.
ReplyDeleteAhhh! Who picked out those colors? I can't tell Medicare from net interests! Is the government spending 8% on jobs? If so, that's low, considering that that is probably the primary problem with the US right now
ReplyDeleteI love the word choice of "Discretionary Security"
ReplyDeleteWell, it's the easiest accessible one due to the period we live in!
ReplyDeleteThank you for this post. I can use this data in the future.
